The spark plugs are under a black plastic coil pack on top of valve cover be careful not to break it it is kinda fragile and expensive good luck

The spark plugs on my 2004 Grand Am are covered by an aluminum cage of some sort. How do I get to them? Cliff

If you have the 4 cylinder engine, you will have to remove the coil cage to change the spark plugs. See illustration below. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

I believe this car has two coils. One services the 1, 3 cylinders, the other 2, 4 cylinders. You need a new coil pack.

2001 pontiac grand am tuneup

remove the top cover that says 2.4 L on it, the spark plugs are underneath. Like me, you'll feel like an idiot for not knowing.
