My radio/cd player won't do anything with the 6 disc cd player disc error is the message that comes across the screen

I have the same problem. I have 6 discs in my 6 disc CD. When I was trying to eject a cd, it never came out, and now I get the "CD Changer Error" message on the screen. Whenever I start my car or touch a button on the stereo, it sounds like it's trying to do something, but then about 5 minutes later it stops... and no cd's are ejected or played!!!

Mine started doing this same thing after I had to have my car jumped. Everything but the cd player works so the dealer ran a computer test on it. I have to get a whole new radio.

I have a 2006 pontiac g6 and my radio wont let me play my cds, eject them, or load new ones. It just says CD CHANGER ERROR. I dont have a manual or any idea how to fix it.

internal electrical fualt of the c/d changer, you'll need to send the changer into be repaired. your local GM dealership can help you with that. sometimes stereo shops can do the work a little cheaper.

I am assuming the changer is part of the radio. You try removing the negative cable from the battery and reconnecting it to see if that resets the problem, but unfortunately, the dealer is probably right - not much else you can do.

My battery died now disc player says no discs please help?

Very tricky, my suggestion is to restart the radio again see if it reads the CDs this time. Try removing the radio fuse, where all the other fuses are at. Turn the radio on without the fuse, press and hold a button for a minute just to make sure you drain the electricity from the changer. Then put the fuse back and see what happens. You can also disconnect the negative or ground from the battery wait five minutes and connect it again but this will also restart the car computer.
