I got a 2000 mitsubishi montero truck that wont start. but if i hook jumper cables up i can get it to start. but when i remove the cables and try to start it up on its own it get nothing. not even the lights or dash board come on..any ideas..? maybe a battery or even a starter..?

Instructions for resetting the anti-theft system. The negative cable is always the one to disconnect first and reconnect last. You could also just phone for a mobile vehicle alarm installer / locksmith, or a mobile auto electrician.
In the link it say 5 times and then start the vehicle.
1. open hood
2. disconect battery
3. remove sparkplugs cable
3. use a torque ranch to remove sparkplugs (turn to left)
4. replace with new sparkplugs
5. connect cables
6. connect battery
check to see if gas is coming out to your fuel rail and if the injectors are getting gas and try this website for diagrams and step by step instructions: autozone.com
