A wire is shorting somewhere due to chafing or heat damage or flexing.

SOURCE: radiator cooling fan 30 amp. fuse keep blowing

The fan may run with jumper wires but if it''s blowing the 30 Amp Maxifuse it's needs a new or used fan motor. It's pulling too many amps.I have almost never seen a fan relay concern.Only other thing you may check is the wiring down near the fan shoud I have seen the 2 wires get loose from the conduit & melt onto exhaust manifold.Hope tHis Helps

SOURCE: how do i install electric fans in a 96 impala ss?

I am not the most mechanical guy and i did it with out much problem. You can get the fans at alot of car parts houses. i just layed under neith the front bumper and there were only a couple of screws and a connector to plug back in.

SOURCE: secondary fan on impala SS 1996 not operating. fan

The PCM controls these fans via certain sensor inputs, ( CTS ) and switches ( A/C compressor for instance ). When relays are removed, both relays sockets should show 12v constant ( battery voltage on "switch side" ). When the key is rolled on, there should be 12v appear in two more places, ("Coil side" ) the relays are then operated by a ground signal from the PCM. ( Powertrain Control Module ) You need a scan-tool to check for fan request, by the PCM. A/C compressor request, etc. If you have any DTC's then repairing them may well fix your problem, otherwise, you may have a faulty PCM.

Finding a cooling fan relay under or in the dash for a 2004 impala that makes the fans run on high for a/c

Are you talking about the HEAT / AC blower motor , that makes that cool air blow on the inside passangers ? Or the fans that draw air through the radiator ?

Shortage somewhere interfering w/ cooling fans for engine

First unplug both the cooling fans then take a jumper wire one from the positive side of the battery and one from the neg. side and test each fan to make sure they are working properly, it is possible that one of them is froze up. That would keep blowing the fuses. If both of them are okay then check the sensor on the radiator, if that is ok then u have a short in the wiring

My fuse to the cooling fan in my 95 ss impala keeps blowing when I turn the switch

I'm going to assume that you are referring to the blower fan...when the fuse blows it is telling you that there is a short in the system or excessive amperage draw...Most often it is caused by the blower motor itself that has worn out and drawing too much amperage in order to turn. Resist the temptation to just replace the fuse with a larger one...that will cause failure elsewhere in the system as well.

My 2006 chevy impala ac light keeps cutting off and on. When its on its coolin and when its off it just blows warm air. how do i fix this problem

Hello ,maybe i can help. There is a multiple system check to perform, but being as you are asking for help,on fix ya,I can only think you are with out ac gauges and other helpful tools. What we need to check first off is,under the hood, see if the ac compressor is turning when the problem presents it`s self(when the ac light goes off).If so,you may just need a little freon added to the system. If the ac compressor is turning when the ac light is off ,look and see if the cooling fan or fans are running. If the fan or fans are not running, then you have one out of three things happening, One is ,a cooling fan relay is not working,two-as simple as a fuse is blown, and finally,a high side pressure switch that cuts on the cooling fan,or fans has gone out.Of course the possibility of a ac compressor gone weak is also a problem to look at.You may still need a ac service tech to check it out if any of the three things I mentioned are not the problem.I hope this has helped you with your ac problem, and if I can help you any further let me know,,,,[email protected]

Cooling Fan Fuse

Sounds like a short in the wiring, or a bad fan motor drawing too much current. Check the wiring for shorts, if none are found, replace the fan motor.

Cooling fan

i would deff check the relay i had a problem with my relay going out on my 04 but i just ran my fan to a togle switch so i can turn it on and off when i want it on when im in dead stop situations like traffic and also when your ac is on the fan has to be on or your ac will cut on and off to keep your car from really over heating in a hurry if your not moving, but i also run my car at the track and it helps to keep it cooler when racing down the drag strip.
