SOURCE: remove fuel lines from the fuel filter on a 93 f150 ford truck

There is a special tool used to disconnect the lines from the fuel filter. You should be able to get them at any local automotive shop, i.e., Pepboys, Autozone, Chief Auto. It should be relatively cheap to buy this tool.

SOURCE: my2005 f250 6.0 l diesel will crank but not start and run

Possibly a crank sensor on or around the harmonic balancer, acts as a magnet like on an old buick. When you get the truck to fire up run it until she gets hot shut it and try to restart if no start continues try spraying starter fluid on the crank sensor itself. What happens is the sensor overheats and wont register that your cranking the engine. Spraying the starting fluid on the sensor will cool it dramaticlly enough for you to restart.

SOURCE: ford fusion 1.4 tdci will not start unless the hand pump is used

HAVE YOU CHECKED THE FUEL LINES WHERE THE FUEL PRIMING PUMP IS CONNECTED FOR ANY CHAFFING THEY ARE COMMON FOR CHAFFING BESIDE THE FUEL FILTER WHICH WOULD EXPLAIN WHY FUEL IS RETURNING TO FUEL TANK.

I have oil in my coolant. 2000 F350, 7.3 turbo diesel with 120K

It sounds like a classic blown head gasket. Most head gasket issues occur after the engine overheats. Was this engine ever overheated that you know of? Check your oil to see if it has a milky white appearance as well. The white smoke at startup is steam, which is likely water/coolant being burned. What sounds like is happening is that oil under pressure is leaking around the head gasket from the pistons into the cooling jackets, and when the engine cools, coolant is being sucked into the pistons. Most auto parts stores sell a testing kit that turns colors in the presence of carbon monoxide and determines whether exhaust gases are mixing with your coolant. However, you probably don't need this kit, since you already see oil in the coolant. The only fix is to remove the head on the engine (expensive job), have it checked, and then replace the gasket. If you continue to drive like this, you can keep an eye on the coolant level and change your oil every few months until engine performance really degrades or else you start losing a ton of coolant or oil. It will get worse and probably cause a little bit of corrosion in your cylinders, which can be cleaned up when the head is fixed.

#9 fuse keeps blowing. Not a problem during daylite hours, but they want you to have taillights at nite. Turn signals and brakes okay. Have taken doors apart, disassembled the dash, followed parking light...

Had this problem on my 1995 K1500. Take your front blinkers out and see if the wires are rubbing on the frame causing it to short out. Took me 4 months to figure this out.

How to check if fuel is getting to the engine

time to clean out the system
you should probably try running reg diesel through the lines
so drain the fuel tank and put some reg diesel in rem the fule line recently replaced and allow it to pour our into a bucket then after the fule starts running there then hook line back up and start pumping it through the injector pump remove 1 of the cylinder lines and see if you have fuel there using a clear hose and a bucket
attach hose to end of fuel injector line and see if it is pushing fuel through the injector body
remem ber you are still pushing reg diesel

now that the system is clean and clear hook all lines up and try and start the truck up on reg diesel
if it runs then your off to the races
if there is no fuel check the fuel filter it may just be full of gunk
or the pump might be cooked
but rem line b4 filter and check for flow
