Check for a block in the coolant passages. You may need to flush the system out to remove the blockage.

From your description of symtoms it sounds like you have a bad water pump. If the coolant is not circulating properly you will have a heating problem. Sometimes even a new thermostat can stick and cause the engine to overheat. I have seen them fail in as little as a week after they were installed.

replace the thermostat. it's the only way to rule it out.
hope this helped
please rate well

I had the same problem, whole new radiator, new hoses, new thermostat, and still overheating. What the problem was for me...bad radiator cap...all that money and a $20 fix...try it?
Testimonial: "YES... I HAD THIS DONE ALREADY... BUT IT HAPPENED EXACTLY AS YOU SAID... THANKS ANYWAY!!!"
you need to run the car and see if the fan comes on if it does change the thermostat and gasket if it does not you need a fan sensor

Hi MJK, We need to identify what fluid is leaking? Is it engine oil, is it from the transmission, brakes? clutch (if fitted) power steering. It seems to me as the engine is overheating it will probably be coolant, but it could be disguised by being mixed with engine oil. Let us have more details?
I found out that one of the fans was not working..I was asked to check the fuse, one of the sides was black. I changed the fuse and when I drove it it did not overheat. The fluid on the ground is water, nothing else is mixed with it, I am hopping that it is the a/c.
