I will be driving and when accelerating or decreasing speed car will try to die and sometimes die. the warmer the car gets the more it dies. also i will put 40. in gas then drive 20 min to have the gas guage drop down to e. please help

I could very well be the TPS throttle position sensor acting up. I had a very similar situation on a 99 Concorde with the same engine in it in my shop today. Go to a shop that is able to do a data stream on the engine. What it is, is they hook up a scanner and have the ability to watch all the sensors as the car starts/runs.

I think I'd have to gamble on a new relay, and clean up contacts in those sockets with electrical cleaner, then add dielectric grease before plugging in new one. Do the pump first obviously.

if i am not mistaken the fuel filter is built into the fuel pump. which requires you to drop the tank and replace both.
