Fuse location on 1996 vw passat

All lights work and fuse panel under dash all fuses ok but brake and reverse lights do not work tinking seperate fuse panel

    Brake lights and reverse lights not working. The fuse box is located under the dashboard at the end of the dash, driver side. Fuses and bulbs are fine.

On the side of the dash behind panel on drivers side (right hand drive)open the door and the fuse panel is on the end of the dashboard..

The fuse block is located under the back seat. The dome light is on fuse #21 15amp, the rest of the
fuses and their functions are listed on the inside of the fuse block cover. Hope this helps.

the fuse panels are under the dash near drivers footwell or in the glove box or under the glove box if you have a cubby hole or something like this on a seperate panel to the rest of the dash the chances are it is behind this panel

My brake lights just went out in my 2001 VW oassat could it be a fuse?
If both lights went out it could very well be the fuse, check the fuse box located below the dash and see if the fuse labeled taillight/brake light is blowen if so replace fuse and the lights should be working again.

Third brake light fuse number for 2006 vw passat
There is no fuse for the third brake light that I know of, it is wired into the main brake light wiring on most cars anyway. Probably the bulb is blown.

Chk. fuse, emergency flashers, and middle break light, and the other break lights are on seperate curcit (a fuse for each), if fuse is ok than it could be break light switch, witch is located under dash on steering colume and works off break peddel arm.
