Everything ran fine until the other day. Vehicle was put into Park and heater fan kicked in, even though everything was in "Off" position. No display for temperature, although switch control for panel, defrost, etc., does properly divert direction of air flow. What could cause this?
SOURCE: I have a 94 Ford Explorer 4dr 2wd w/ac. When I
Remove the blower motor located under the hood on the passenger side in the evap. case. HEld in by 3 8mm screws. The fan blade may have broken .
SOURCE: My heater is stuck on defrost. I switched the
look under the hood on the passenger side for a broken vacuum line. this is usually a white plastic or black plastic tube. you can splice it together with a small rubber vacuum hose.

Voltage gauge doesn't register at all while this problem persists. Other gauges are working. Changed a fuse, even though it didn't appear blown. Everything went back to normal and then, when I put the vehicle in Park, the problem popped up again.
