SOURCE: My S10 blazer lacks power, bogs under

sounds to me like a bad fuel pressure regulator. I would replace that and see what happens, if that fails you may have contaminated fuel

Yes... you are most likely low on freon as the compressor will cut on low pressure before vacuum.Depending on ambient temps and head pressures your running ,you may see low side pressures at 50. Automotive refrigerant (134a) is not far from matching the degress to low pressure....for instance 50 lb low side pressure will give you approx 60 degrees cooling at the vent.Once cabin temperatures are met is when you can expect that suction pressure to lower and stabilize. You would be better off watching high and low pressures to get the full picture of whats going on here...good luck

SOURCE: S10 blazer lacks power, bogs under acceleration

Check your coil output, buy a cheep spark tester. Pull of a spark plug wire and plug in the tester(ground the other end), set it to bridge a gap for 30,000 volts.Have someone start it and make sure the spark will jump the gap on the tester.Danger-Very high voltage! It will light you up if your touching the tester while the car is running! You'll be able to see a bright blue spark(and hear it as well) if your coil is good.If it's a yellow thin spark it's probably the coil.
If you have good spark, check the fuel filter and fuel pressure at the fuel rail.
Back firing could be timing, cam position or crank position sensor.Worst case scenario, timing chain or belt.

SOURCE: 2000 Chevrolet S10, 4.3, 2wd, 162,000. Surges

Sounds to me like fuel delivery issue. If i am correct this engine has the injector unit inside the intake manifold. When the engine needs the extra fuel for accel or loads it just isnt there. You are going to have to do a fuel drop test to determie if the correct amount of fuel is being released for the amount of time the injector is open.

2004 Santa Fe 2.4l. Why does it have intermittent rough idle, hard misfires, and lack of power especially when under load?

It isn't wise to get too preoccupied with fuel pressures - ok the pump needs to maintain the right pressure but it is also important the pump delivers sufficient volume of fuel that the pressure is maintained under full throttle conditions with enough reserve circulating back to the tank to keep the system cool and prevent vapour locks.
A healthy pump will fill a half gallon jug in a few seconds and that test is the essential other half of the fuel system test.
A reduced volume or pressure could indicate a dirty fuel tank...

The pressure test isn't complete until the peak pressure has also been tested and the pressure regulator vac on and vac off proved ok. The rail pressure should be maintained with the pump off and the supply closed - if it doesn't, it indicates a leaking regulator or a dribbling injector.

Once the fuel delivery has been passed ok, the fuel injectors should be removed and tested. An injector has a useful life on average of 70/80,000 miles, after which the spray patterns deteriorate - a poor spray pattern has larger droplets that burn much slower and behave like a lean mixture.

1998 2500 chevy wont start unless i pour fuel in throtle body when engine is cold

Check your fuel pump pressure, it is probably down in the 50 lb range and it requires a bit above that to start. Once it starts it will run on that pressure. This is a chronic problem with these, my 1998 2500 was a GMC but it's the same vehicle. I put 385,000 miles on it with no engine or transmission trouble but I was on fuel pump number six when I sold it.

2006 chevy 2500 express cargo van .What is a good oil pressure for this van. it has 150,000 miles runs great

60psi cold / 30-45psi warm is ideal. I've seen (with that mileage) 45 cold/ 20 warm and that's acceptable - anything less start thinking about a new oil pump.

K2500 chevy 3/4 ton pick up. no power under load

IN your distributer under the rotor is a magnet and a pickup coil (the magnet is known as a pole piece) check your pickup coil for corrsion (green in color) and the module and also check pole piece for cracks in the magnet where the rivets hold it together. sometimes oil wicks up around the distributer shaft because of housing wear or the pieces just wear out over time.

Fuel pump

i believe it's around 80, but anything higher than 60 should run it somewhat, just lacking power, and dogging out while accelerating, like a running out of gas symptom.
