What tools do you need? Is there anything special we should know about this?

THank you.. When we looked at it, it looks like we need some type of Star shaped socket???? Does this make sense? We are changing the rotors too.

It is a torx bit for your caliper bolt.a size t50 if I am thinking right. use a good one as these can be hard to get broke loose.as far as rotors remove cliper slide bracket with an 18mm two bolts and rotor will slip off. might have to tap with a hammer

Should just need some lube to put on pads when installing and an 18mm wrench. caliper bolt might be 13mm or 18mm, but the caliper bracket bolt is 18mm. take pads out. install new ones. just a hint, i change brakes for a living, go get the rotors resurfaced at a shop, it will save you a headache down the road....

Any helpful hints to changing rear brakes in a 90/tracker, I've successfully changed the front brakes but they were disk not drum

You'll need special tools to accomplish that. Use a brake dust spray to clean the parts before you disassemble anything. That way you won't inhale a lot of brake dust. Some auto parts stores will loan or rent the special tools necessary to do the job on your particular model.

Where is the knock sensor on the secondary side of the motor located in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD...6.0L

You have to remove the intake and they are under rubber caps in the lifter valley.. 1 is the front and 2 is the rear. This is not a hard job but requires special tools for the fuel line fittings or quick disconnects. They intake gaskets are fairly expensive but if you have average skills you can do this in an afternnon easy.

How to remove the power steering pully on a 2003 silverado 3500 hd

You may need a special removal tool, Snap-On and others sell them. There is a groove on the front of the pulley, the tool hooks on that and pulls it off the power steering pump shaft.

I have a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4. When you put it in 4 high and drive over twenty miles hour the front end roars. Does anyone know what I need to check first.

remove the front differential cover and check the oil for metal shavings, if any it will need to be rebuild with new bearings and gears, available in kit form, clean the housing thoroughly, and power tools will help

Torx bit size

I would check with my local parts house, I think you will find that there is a tool especially made just for the brakes on that vehicle. It is not uncommon for all makes to have a special size just for changing brakes on their vehicles. I know some Fords have it, you should see the one for a 1993 Cadillac Seville, looks like a small box. Doesn't make sense but it sells a lot of tools. It's probably a 52-53 or something like that and of course only useful for the brakes on that particular model. Hope this helps.

2003 Murano calipers / Brakes

Nothing special about these brakes. Parking brake is behind rotor, so all caliper pistons push into bores.

Anything to watch when changing pads and rotors on a 2006 Tucson?

Not really anything special, just if you have rear disc brakes there is a special tool you need to push (rotate) the caliper piston in because of the fact they are special calipers equipped for parking brake function.
