If the reservoir is not cracked almost all the leaks at fittings can be stopped by gently tightening them or by draining the reservoir. And opening the fitting that is leaking and replacing the ferrule. Reassemble refill and check for leaks. If the shaft is leaking you may be able to buy a rebuild kit. If not you have to replace the whole thing.

SOURCE: 2005 suzuki Forenza....clutch pedal all the way to

If no fluid loss, then i would squeeze the fluid line (rubber part) to the slave cylinder. If you now have pressure in the pedal replace the slave cylinder. If still no pressure then change the clutch master cylinder.

SOURCE: Hydraulic Clutch Problem in an 82 Toyota Pickup

If you are leaking fluid from the clutch master cylinder then you have air in the system. You could try and bleed the air out of the clutch slave cylinder to get the gears but it would not last. The only way is to replace the defective master cylinder, replace all of the fluid and bleed out the air through the slave cylinder.

SOURCE: Bleeding clutch slave cylinder

i think youre doing the right thing. they are very stubborn to bleed because the hyd. line goes up high across back of engine before droppiing back down to slave cyl., trapping air. could try to gravity bleed by opening bleeder at slave, cap off of master cyl, full with fluid then it may start to come out after a bit. then try your process again. or can try to bleed at connections further up the line, working your way back to bleeder. hope this helps. be patient.

SOURCE: leaking clutch fluid Where is the slave cylinder"..I have been told to look at the slave cylinder because I do not see fluid under the car.

Slave cylinder should be on the left side of the bellhousing (follow the line from the clutch master if necessary) If you don't see fluid but you have lost some, also check where the rod from the pedal goes through the firewall to the master...they often leak there and will not drip on the ground.

1990 Honda EX clutch. It does not ingage. It pops to the top or sticks to the floor

Not sure of the model EX, but it probably has a clutch hydraulic slave and master cylinder that has leaked out the hydraulic fluid. Fill the clutch master cylinder (near the brake master cylinder) with brake fluid and pump the clutch pedal several times. The clutch work again until the fluid leaks out, so the permanent fix is to replace the master and or slave cylinders and bleed the system. Other models have a clutch cable that would need replacing in this case

2000 hyundai elantra leaking clutch fluid, when low or empty lose clutch, then refill clutch works fine, leaking under car

The clutch hydraulic system is very simple, just 3 pieces. There is the clutch master cylinder with attached fluid reservoir-mounted on the firewall, there is a steel line from the master going down to the transaxle bell housing, and there is the clutch slave cylinder on the bell housing that the steel line connects to.
If yours is leaking under the car, it is probably the slave cylinder, either that or the steel line. Either one should be easy to replace.

There is no pressure when i press down my clutch, I just had it replaced about a year and a half ago. It didn't feel like the clutch went?

clutch master or slave cyl. could have gone out so you are no longer releasing clutch thats why no pressure on pedal. look for Brake fluid leak -clutch uses same type of fluid. or master cyl can leak or bypass internally and just not build pressure.

When I step on the clotch it gets stuck and dosent come back out

CHECK CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER.SOUND LIKE BRAKE FLUID LOW.IF BRAKE FLUID LOW LOOK FOR LEAKS AROUND CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER AND CHECK FOR LEAKS AROUND BRAKE LINES AND CHECK FOR LEAKS AROUND CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER HYDRALIC LINE FITTING. REASON PEDAL GOING TO FLOOR YOU HAVE FLUID LEAK WHICH WILL CAUSE AIR TO GET IN THE CLUTCH HYDRALIC SYSTEM. YOU HAVE TO LOCATE LEAK FIX AND BLEED THE CLUTCH HYDRALIC SYSTEM.

Clutch went out, what kind of clutch is on this model, and how do I fix this? Do I need to replace the whole transmission, or do I simply need to add some kind of fluid? Please advise as soon as possible...

You may ahve low fluid in the master cyl for the clutch.
If its low then there is a leak somewhere that you need to fix,

You could have several potential clutch hydralic parts that could be bad
1-master cylinder
2-slave cylinder
3-hyydralic hose between the two cylinders.

Your clucth mechanical parts could also be bad, but I would check the hydralics first.

You do not need a new Transmission when the clutch is not working correctly.
