SOURCE: where is low side ac hose for recharging located

You will notice the low side has a larger aluminum pipe, and along that pipe you will find the low side port. Anyways you can't connect the low side charging hose to the high side so there is no way you gonna make a mistake on connecting the can to the high side and blowing up the can.LOL

Your Jeep may have been built using R12 freon. R134 was first used around 1994.
If it is R12 the fittings won't work on your R134 recharge kit. Otherwise, you connect the hose fitting to the fitting that is on the low side line. The high side fitting will be too big or too small. Sometimes the low side fitting is on the compressor, sometimes it is in one of the lines.

How do I put freon in my 2004 explorer

You can only connect the recharge hose to the low side line(the high side is a different size). The low pressure side of the system will have the larger lines, you will find the recharge fitting somewhere on the lines or one of the components along the way(maybe the accumulator canister). At one time, thet used to put a blue cap on the low side fitting and a red cap on the high side, but not always.(dont count on the fitting to be in a place that's easy to get at).

Need to charge airconditioning system, and the recharging kit doesn't fit on.... how and what do you use to recharge on 5.7 L engine, 1997 1500 4x4 chev pick up

the recharge kit will only fit on the low side fitting which is the smaller fitting on the larger lines/hoses. If it doesn't fit on the fitting you have tried than you are probably trying to put it on the high side fitting which is the larger fitting on the smaller lines/hoses. I think the low side fitting is on the receiver drier on this model which is the canister looking thing back by the passenger side of the firewall.

Need to recharge the a/c in a 2007 Saturn Vue. Where can I find a diagram that shows the different hoses and lines? Or which hose or line do I use for the Freon?

you always recharge on the low side. The low side is the larger lines/hoses. the high side is the smaller lines/hoses. The low side fitting on the a/c system is smaller than the high side fitting. this is so that the low side and high side can not be hooked backwards accidentally. The fitting on your can of recharge will only fit the low side fitting on the a/c system.

To find the low side fitting on your a/c system to recharge it simple follow the low side line/hoses (the larger ones) until you see the fitting which usually has a plastic cap over it. Follow the instruction on the can of recharge and you should be good to go.

If you have any other questions I'd be more than happy to answer them.

the low side fitting is always the smaller fitting on the larger hose or line. The high side fitting is always the larger fitting on the smaller line.

Where do I charge my a/c unit

On the low side hose that connects to receiver dryer (looks like big can). Dont worry it is a small fitting usually with a blue or black cap on. It will not fit onto recharge hose fitting if you try to put it on the high side. It is too big for quick connect fitting. So if it fits it is the correct one.

Where is low side ac hose for recharging located

maybe on the dryer. if your only going to put R134 in without sucking any out. then only put it in the high side with the car not running.

A/c recharge

The low side of the ac unit is the evaporator side which is the inside of the car area. depending on the year if it uses r12 refrigerant it will be the larger fitting of the 2 on the vehicle. The low side fitting is located in the line or on the dryer which looks like a small can near the firewall . If it is a r134 system it should still be the larger fitting but will require the special adapter to attach to the fitting
