Replacing Corner Lights on a 1994 Ford Taurus

I have replaced the headlight bulbs on my car, but I can't figure out how to remove the bulbs on my corner lights so that I can replace them. How do I replace the front corner light bulbs on my 1994 Ford Taurus GL?

Um I was able to get to my headlight from under the hood of the car. Are you saying I have to get underneath my car even though I can see the connection from under the hood? I just don't know what I need to remove the bulb, nor do I know how to remove the bulb. The headlights were obvious and simple... all I had to do was unscrew the back washer and they practicaly popped out.

How do i remove headlight assembly on 1994 ford taurus?

I believe that on the 90's Taurus you need to remove the headlight housing to change the bulb. There are 3 or 4 screws or nuts that must be removed from the back side. Use a 10 mm socket or wrench. The housing can be pulled forward, away from the car body. Disconnect the wires and/or remove the bulbs.

How do you change the front turn signal bulb on a 1994 ranger

Hi there,

Here are some few tips to help out. Firstly, remove the screws retaining the headlight and trim assembly. Then carefully rotate the headlight and trim assembly away from the vehicle, rotating the inboard side away from the vehicle. Remove the side marker, parking and turn signal bulbs and sockets from the headlamp and trim assembly. They can be removed by turning them. If you are replacing a lens, remove the retaining screws for the lens to be changed and remove it from the headlight door.

When removed, install the removed lens assembly. Then, install the bulbs and sockets and install the headlight and trim assembly. Make sure you check the operation of the lights.

Best of luck...

How to Replace a Headlight Bulb in a Ford Taurus

The Ford Taurus has one of thelongest production histories of any of Ford's mid- cars. You should check that the headlightson your Ford Taurus are working properly on a regular basis. When one of theheadlight bulbs burn out, replacing it is a simple repair you can performyourself. These steps apply only to the fourth generation Ford Taurus producedafter 2000.

1. Turn off your Ford Taurus, engage the parking brake and remove the keys fromthe ignition before beginning any repairs. Ensure that the headlights are offby double-checking you turned the interior control completely to the offposition. 2. Raise the hood by firstpulling up on the interior hood release latch located under the instrumentpanel on the left of the steering column. Walk around to the front of the car and release the auxiliary latchlocated at the front center of the hood. Raise the hood until the liftcylinders catch and hold the hood open on its own. 3. Unscrew the bolt from theheadlamp assembly by turning it counterclockwise. Use a screwdriver or pliersto pry up the retaining pins enough that you can pull them straight up and outwith either your hands or a pair of pliers. These pins are located at the backof the headlight assembly. 4. Pull the headlight assembly out from the front of the vehicle. Remove the protective dust shieldfrom the electrical connector and bulb assembly by turning it counterclockwiseand pulling it off. 5. Free the bulb assembly by disconnecting the electricalconnector and retaining ring. You can simply pull off the connector to removeit. The retaining ring requires a counterclockwise turn for removal. 6. Take out the old headlight bulb by pulling it straightout from the headlight assembly. 7. Install a new replacement bulb by pushing it straightin with the flat part of the bulb's base facing upward. Be sure that thegrooves in the plastic base of the bulb align properly with those in theheadlight assembly. 8. Reinstall the remaining components of the headlightassembly in reverse order of removal and check that the headlights are workingproperly. The headlights on my 1994 ford taurus sedan are too dim. Even the high beams are not bright enough for safe nighttime driving. Also, the daytime running lights are always on the high beam position. I even...

the lenses are most likely clouded over? yellowed? sometimes you can buy a kit to polish them, but I would recommend replacement, polish doesnt last long, and you will need to replace them anyhow. the DRL lights are operating normally
