SOURCE: driver door handle will not open door 1993 Honda Civic
there is a pin in the door handle might have broke off there are two 10 mm nuts that will release the handle but you have to take the door panels off and remove it any local junk yard should have it or can order it for you

standard problem; must replace the handle on the inside which entails drilling out rivets, etc. Easier to have a mechanic do it and the cost is around 150$... kind of worth it when you try to do it yourself. Let the problem go longer and the handle, itself, just lies there in a retarded fashion. Basically, the inside of the door latch has a piece of plastic that breaks off. Go figure. Build cheap ****; expect bad results.
This should have been made from a higher density material to offset this problem.

Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register (vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you'll have access to technical information (manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc) about your vehicle.

I have been dealing with the same problem and I'm a little further than you are. You need two people to do this job. Open the front door and it will give you access to the hinge pin. If I remember correctly you can pop off the snap rings and pull the pins. This will allow you to open the door just enough to get the interior panel off the door to allow you access to the actuator. Unfortunately, both my rear door actuators have been done twice in the last 5 weeks, But they are seized in the locked position again. I,m pretty sure its not just the actuators that are bad. Something else is causing this and that is why I'm here. Good luck with that one.
