Changed fuel pump, ckd filter, replaced plugs, dist cap & rotor, pump works, relays & fuses ok but still won't keep running
You'll have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem to proceed.
Is the check engine light on ? Have you checked for trouble codes ?
It could be a relay, the ignition module, coil, fuel pump blockage, or a list of other things. Is the oil pressure light on ?
If this is a vortec engine, it requires 60psi or more of fuel pressure to run. Have you checked the fuel pressure and is it enough ?

sounds like its not getting its initial shot of fuel to start. thier is either one or two sensors that control that. go to your local auto parts store and they can tell you more and get the right part.

Check your catalitic converter, you might start with an oxygen sensor first. your local muffler shop can do a temp check on the converter for you, but you can replace the oxgen sensor your self pretty easy.

before you drop tank again, check fuses & relay.then disconnect fuel line @ filter turn key to on position should hear fuel pump run and get gas stream out of line. if no flow from line new pump faulty be sure & remove negative battery cable first good luck.

Check all of the cables near intake. Make sure all of the sensors are pluged in. Since if sensors have plugs that are loose than you could have a problem of inconsistent runing.

Yes, your comments were helpful, however the solution was dropping the tank, removing the fuel pump (new) and replacing it with one of that had the correct pressure pressure for the vehicle. (parts store error, only had 12 psi.)
Thanks for the help, John
