You will need to know if the compressor is working when it blows hot air to proceed. It could be an electrical problem, a blend door problem, or the a/c clutch on the compressor.

SOURCE: air conditioning blowing only highest setting but HOT air

Sounds like your freon has leaked out and your heater blower resistor is burned out. Deffinitly take this to the dealer.

SOURCE: Sometimes air conditioning will blow

There is a pressure sensor welded into the pipe work for the aircon with two wires coming out of it.
Unplug this and bridge the wires together when the car is running with the air con on.
If it is a faulty pressure switch you will hear the clutch on the compressor cut in and out when you touch the wires together..If this works buy a new switch..but you will have to have the car regassed.

SOURCE: Honda CRV 2002 air conditioning not cold and was just charged,

Did you have compressor checked to make sure it is not the problem? Or did you just charge due to lack of cool air? Some parts stores can check it. Garages too.. If not the prob let me know..

SOURCE: blows cold out of left defroster and hot air out of right

There are small doors within the heater/AC components located under the dash that direct the flow of air. Something has gone wrong with the operation of these doors.

I doubt this is a do-it-yourself project. Significant disassembly is required.

more than likely your losing cold water from your water system, make sure your water pump is up to scratch...sounds strange, but you need cold water for heat through your air conditioning...

I have a 1999 323i BMW. The AC doesnt blow cold (on cool days it blows cool temperature but not common A/C Cold Air, Hot Days it blows Warm/Hot Air). The heater blows warm air but definitely not common...

First things first.....You must have the air conditioning system hooked up to an a/c system machine and then checked for leaks and also read low and high side pressures. If there are leaks then low Freon (R134a) content and low refrigerant oil can cause the a/c system to not engage the a/c compressor which basically means you will not have proper defrost functionality nor regular air conditioning. Most shops, when working with your air conditioning, will install air conditioning dye to assist them in locating leaks and is the first step in diagnosing all a/c systems. Post the findings after thw

The air conditioning system will only blow cold air. Regardless of the mode, I can only get cold air. Can you give me an idea on how to fix the problem? Thanks Don 615-653-3834 [email protected]

The air conditioning is supposed to blow only cold air. Are you trying to get the heater to blow hot air? Make sure the temperature selector is in the hot position.

Intermitten AirConditioning

Sounds like there is either

1. Too much freon in there

or

2. Not enough freon in there.

Freon (R) being freon or low CFC equivalent.

Sounds like the system is working fine, then the condensor or compressor gets too cold and freezes up (or gets WAY too hot). when you turn the A/C off, the system has time to stabilize and return to a more 'normal' condition.
