We have a 1998 Nissan 240SX SE, recently the blower stopped working on settins 1,2,3 but works on setting 4. I thought I had a fuse problem, but the fuse decal on the underhood fuse box is long gone.

what is a reg?? if you have only one setting working for you it is due to a bad blower motor resistor usualy found under the glove box in your heater box.

learn that RHD do not repair like LHD cars.
all is backwards, and very unique parts.

pulling the dash HVAC box ,blower and all. my guess heater core leaks/ some can fixed easy with new heater hoses.
looking careful for exact leak point can save 10 or more hours of labor. see this done wrong many a time. all a wasted of labor and parts and worse collateral damage.
no year told and can matter, sad most tubers never say year.
Do you mean blower ? There is no motor in heater ! ... check its coupler and relay if it is not working. If the air flow is not proper than please get your evaporator coil cleaned
get correct manual from Nissan.

Remove the glove compartment liner to gain access to the heater blower motor and blower motor wheel assembly mounting screws.
Use a small screwdriver to remove clip retaining hydraulic damper strut.
Remove four screws and remove the heater blower motor assembly and blower motor wheel assembly from the heater blower motor housing.
Installation
Using a new seal, position the heater blower motor and blower motor wheel assembly to the heater blower motor housing with the flat side of the flange near the heater blower motor switch resistor (18591). Install the four retaining screws.
Tape the heater blower motor power lead to the air inlet duct to keep the wire away from the blower outlet during installation.
Install the heater blower motor and blower motor wheel assembly in the vehicle.
hi did you get the resistor fixed if not you need to remove the glove box by removing the screws that can be seen then there are two plastic lugs that need to be pulled out sideways to enable you to remove the glove box then you will see the resistor card on the side of the motor thats on the new shape micra k12
