The ignition has been changed ,selinoid and e core ignition coil. i hear the click from the fuse blocks on left firewall but then turn the key to start and nothing happens. if i can get it to just turn over i can get it to start any ideas
Fords require 10 + volts to activate the solenoid.
A faulty solenoid, weak battery, or bad connections can cause the solenoid to click. Especially a battery with a dead cell that looks like it is charged.
If the solenoid is clicking the neutral safety switch is ok. If you are only hearing relays click, take a test light and check the 16 gauge wire on the solenoid for voltage with the key in start position.
Also jumper that post with the battery post on the solenoid to crank the engine.

Here's the diagram for the fuse panel under the dash. There is also a fuse panel under the hood next to the air filter.

Sounds like there's a grounded wire somewhere between the ignition switch and the solenoid. When you bypass the switch with the screwdriver you don't ground out the line, but with the switch the ground shorts the circuit, blows the fuse, and then won't start the engine.

i have dash lights and they dim when i turn the key to start but it wont turn over
other than that all i think i can add is it was running fine before it was driven from a block away to the house then the next day went to start it and nothing .
im thinking maybe it could be the neutral saftey switch but i dont know how to either bypass it or test this .
hooking jumper cables to the starter side of the selinoid turns the motor over
