SOURCE: transmission fluid level?

There is a 11mm plug on the passenger side of the trans near the axle shaft. Remove that with the car level, trans hot, and engine idling. Fluid should just come out of there when its full.

SOURCE: i have a 99 caviler need to know how do i check

There are going to be two dip sticks one might say trans on it that's what your looking for. Drive around the block to get the tranny warm then pull out that dip stick and the fluid should be red and the end will tell you if you need more fluid or not

How much trans fluid and what kind does a 05 f150 xlt 4.6 take please and thank you

A 2005 Ford F150 XLT with a 4.6-liter engine typically takes around 12 quarts of transmission fluid. It is recommended to use either Mercon V or Mercon Automatic Transmission Fluid. It is important to consult the owner's manual for the specific transmission fluid recommendation for your specific vehicle as it can vary depending on the transmission type and model.

How many quarts of trans fluid does a 2000 ford explorer v6 need

Did you check your trans dip stick? The tranny dip stick usually has a quart low mark. If this is a manual tranny, that is different, you didn't specify automatic or manual tranny?
{Automatic tranny, the spec is for dry fill, only. 10--12.7 quarts . Dry fill means not a drop of tranny fluid in the vehicle.}
You have to check proper fluid level, that is your responsibility. Your owners manual may have some of this info?

Why will automatic trans. not go into gear?

Check the transmission fluid level. There is a dipstick ( typically a yellow or red handle) at the back of the motor - I think it may be on the driver side of the motor. Start the motor and check the fluid. DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE THE TRUCK!! low fluid can burn up the transmission. the dipstick will have the exact fluid type needed imprinted on it. add fluid with motor off, 1 quart at a time, and start the truck and let it run for a few minutes while you shift from park, reverse, neutral, and drive, back to park for 30 seconds per position before checking again until the level is between the add and full marks on the stick.

2004 olds alero transmission fluid how much to fill up

fill it to just above the low level , check it while it is running, (in park) ;-) on a level surface. drive it around the block to warm up the trans, check it again, if it is still low then add some to the full line, check again while running. (don't add fluid when running) it should stay at the full mark at this point.

What kind of gear oil is required for my 1992 jeep wrangler 5 speed transmission/transfer case and how many quarts will it require

Transmission generally takes a bit less than two quarts, Use 75/90 gear lube in that (in very cold climates you can add a small amount of automatic trans fluid to keep it flowing on cold starts) Transfer case takes a bit over one quart and takes dextron mercon 3. When filling either, fluid is full when on a level surface it begins to come out of the fill hole while filling. When changing either, always make sure you can open the fill plug before draining so you know you can replace what you removed.
