This is a push and turn style connector. Just push towards the light and turn. You do not have to push extremely hard. Pull out old bulb and replace

SOURCE: Trying to get rear braKE DRUMS OFF A 1995 cHEVY
Okay, we're talking about drums and not rotors, correct?
Some drums have two tapped holes into which you can screw the proper bolt and it will push the drum off.
Before drums started appearing with these "holes", the solution was to loosen the brakes by turning the star wheel adjuster accessed through a slot in the bottom of the back of the wheel. There is a brake tool you can buy at Pep Boys for turning this star wheel. This tool makes it easier than using a screwdriver, but a screwdriver will do.

SOURCE: I need a wiring diagram for a 1988 k2500 Scottdale 4wd four
Go to faxonautoliterature. They have the original GM service manual for your truck which will have all the wiring diagrams you need, including all options. They also have separate manuals just for wiring. I've used them before and found service to be excellent. Hope this helps.
