If the fuel pump fuse is blowing, the normal cause is a wire touching metal somewhere between the fuse and the pump. The wiring harness follows the frame of the car.

Sounds more like the Alternator or Voltage regulator is not charging the battery correctly. Have the Alternator checked. If you remove it and take it to Auto Zone or Advance Auto they should be able to test it for you.

2004 pt cruiser keeps blowing fuel pump fuse, replaced fuel pump, no change.runs rough at idle and stalls, blows fp fuse, also replaced ign.coil, plug wires and plugs also changed relays

There are two fuses for the fuel pump relay. One fuse is load side of relay, that fuse also sends voltage to load side of asd relay, the asd relay sends voltage to several systems, two of which are the fuel injectors and ignition coil. I'm not telling you to replace, anything, but, you need to do some testing.
The other fuse goes to control side of relay, smaller amp fuse. I don't know the amp rating of the fuse that keeps blowing.
See that fuse, it supplies voltage to load side of fuel pump relay and also to asd relay.

Blowing fuel pump fuse some times when hit bumbs in road 2001 jeep wrangler

Sorry to say asking questions on a web site & expecting
an answer based someone guessing, won't help you get
to the problem

You have to actually test to resolve vehicle issues

I doubt any bumps are involved as the only cause

If you have a fuse blow you know the issue

Short to Ground -thus fuse goes
Overload Current Wise --thus fuse blows

So you get a wiring diagram of the effected circuit & have at
walking down the entire circuit from the battery to the fuel
pump, in your case

A volt meter & diagrams & lots of time

Never want a fuse to blow, but you at least
know what to look for now it does.

The fuel pump could be the issue if it binds up

Check Pump for current draw & voltage drop the entire
system from battery looking for short along the way- after
you eliminate the pump

Car dies when driving, a man said it was crankshaft senser, fuel pump is two months old and need answers

yes it could be your crankshaft sensor, and would also recommend to change camshaft sensor as well.,now if your fuse for the fuel pump is blowing out on and off,get a chelton repair book that has the wiring diagram, cus the oil pressure switch is connected to that fuel pump fuse also.

Blows gas fuse after driving repeatedly. my kia started out by blowing the 15 amp gas fuse under the hood while driving at 55+ going down the highway. It seemed I was able to drive the same distance when...

check in your owners manual under fuses,15 amp seems low for a fuel pump,i would think it should be at least 25amp,it will tell you what fuse feeds what and what fuse should be there

the fuel pump is drawing too much current and is starting to go. Assuming you have correct size fuse. I would replace it.

1996 honda was in a front end accident

None of the answers I received from this site worked...What the solution was and what the problem is. When a Honda Accord has full airbag deployment you must first clear all codes from the computer by unhooking the positive cable from the battery for awhile(counting to ten won't due) I left it disconnected for about 40-45 minutes. Then replace the fuel pump fuse and it was all good....for now
