SOURCE: engine stalls after cold start-up & release from high speed idle

I had a similar problem.  I found the filter cartridge below the pcv valve had carboned up, and after the crank case pressurized, oil was forced out the pcv supply line to the throttle body.  The idle air control valve solenoid got oil in it and caused my problem, but only when it was cold.  The pcv cartridge is accessed by removing the pcv valve and the rubber fitting that the pcv valve mounts in.  It can then be fished out with a pick set, and it is a pain because you can't see it, but you can get you hand back there.  I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: 99 Sable - hesitation or flutter at 35-42mph - service light on

I had the same EXACT problem on my 2002 Sable. Freaked out thinking I needed a transmission.
All I needed was a tune-up. When not firing properly, sensors "take over" to compensate.

Check plugs/wires...you'll be surprised...I sure was!!

Hello, I have a strange problem. On my 2006 545i, the little green light indicator on the left of my headlight switch flashes on & off. The green indicator light used to stay off until the headlights...

Hello, what I have read in the owner's manual is that if there is an issue in the elestrical system, the light will blink telling you of the issue. The system needs to be at least scanned by the dealer to inform of what can be done to correct the problem. If all lights are working, I don't know if I would spend a ton of energy repairing it otherwise. Double check ALL of your lamps and "twilight" setting (automatic) for proper operation. Does everything else in the car illuminate as desgined? I have an owner's manual for 04 if you would like it. If so, email me at [email protected] and I will send it out immediately via email.

The relay is working fine if the automatic locking system is working. The module for the automatic door locks has a circuit to lock the doors upon shifting the vehicle to drive. The circuitry has a relay built into it that unlocks the doors when parked so that module is not fuctioning properly for the unlocking mode

The light sensor to control the automatic headlamps is located on the dashboard. This sensor is suppose to activate running and headlamps. I would suspect the problem is a relay to operate the headlamps if the car uses a seperate relay in the automatic mode. I'm assuming the headlamps work in manual on/off. FYI... The auto mode does not control the fog lamps.

Security system not working as it used to

i read this on the subaru tech bulletin page
i had the same problem - apparently i had inadvertently put the system into "valet" mode
to get back to normal, unlock with remote - open drivers door - hold down the unlock button on your remote for 2-3 sec - the flashing light will go out and your system should be back to normal
it's too bad the manual doesn't supply information about activating and deactivating "valet" mode
good luck
