A/C suddenly started blowing heat only, mainly in the cabin. The rear a/c seemed to still be sort of cool. We have changed the condenser and the compressor, but it still only blows hot air. Checked on the temp door actuator, and the motor turns when changing from hot to cold on temp controls. We pulled the fuses for a few minutes, turned the engine to run to let everything situate itself, and reset the computer by unplugging negative terminal on battery... and still doesn't work. Do you have any more suggestions??

I have a 2006 yukon and have had to replace the actuator in the rear heat/ac twice. It moves a valve that closes the cold/hot ducts. It is a cheap defective part/design.

I have had this problem. I am not a mechanic...so to correct the issue temporarily, I simply turn off the car and restart. This has worked everytime for me. In extreme cases, I think you can also remove the AC fuse and start the car, which will also reset the computer. I also think that by taking the climate control off the "AUTO" setting has worked in the past.

Check your wiring with an ohm meter. Also ckeck the plugs at both ends and make sure there aren't any pins pushed out or bent. And just to throw this in, you may have bought a bad motor. You have other motors on the plenum, try swapping them to see if you get results. If they are accessible. Good luck
