The light icon (next to the seatbelt light)shows the picture of a car with the rear lights showing 3 small marks where the lights are located.
What is this telling me? I do not have a owner's manual.
My lights seem to work fine??
Thank you!
That is indicating one or more of your rear lites is out. ck carefully including brake lites.
He's already done that I'm sure, as have I since I have the same problem. The icon comes on as soon as I step on the brake and put the car in gear Maybe I'll just let the icon burn itself out since all the lights work, unless someone knows what's causing this to happen. The Toyota dealer wants me to come so they can run a diagnostic. That's going to be a big number I'm sure.
Found the answer on another site and this worked:
This turned off the reverse light indicator as well. "Make sure that you're on your regular odometer - not trip A or B. Shut off your ignition and push and hold the odometer button down with one hand. Using the other hand, turn your ignition to the "on" position (keep holding the odo button). You'll see a series of dashes, then zeros, and finally the mileage will come back up. At that juncture, the maintenance required light will turn off. It will come back on in 5,000 miles."

light comes on after depressing brake pedal. checked all bulbs including direction installed, replaced brake light switch, no change!
the light next to the seat belt light is on and all my blinkers and brakes work fine. Don't don what to do.
on dashboard showing light like car with light on so please tell me what is that & how should i make it off?
I have the exact same problem...I replaced both reverse lights and both work fine now. But the indicator light is still on. It did not come on until one of my reverse lights burned out. This leads me to believe there must be some reset mechanism on the warning light. I bought the car used and do not have an owner's manual.
I am having the same problem now!!
