Question about 2000 GMC Sierra 3500
I have a problem with my GMC 3500 diesel shutting off while I am traveling down the road with my heat on. I had no trouble during the summer until it got cold and now when I run the heat sometimes it will just cut off. Sometimes it will still do it without the heat being on. I have replaced the fuel filter and water evaperator and injection cleaner in and I don't understand now what is making it cut off while in drive and sometimes in park also. Could someone please let me know what the problem is and how to fix it. Thanks.
I had the same problem it turned out to be the fsd (fuel solenoid driver) located on the side of the injector pump. they sell a relocator kit that will solve all your problems it fixed all mine

I have the same problem, but it is not the first time it has happened. The other 5 times GM replaced the fuel injector (about $2500.00 each time) I have heard that there is a PMD (pump mounted driver) that is the actual problem, it gets overheated due to its location and an after market remote mounted one needs to be installed. The dealers will not do this.
