One tank of gas is not enough to compare mileage. Or are you saying the computer's readout of mpg estimate is showing less? Try a tank or two of premium and see if that helps. Keep track of gas mileage. Driving techniques have a lot to do with gas mileage, as does long trips vs. short trips, highway cruising vs. city driving. For best mileage, do regular maintenance and keep the car in top running condition-good spark plugs and clean filters and clean oil ! Attend to minor problems before they escalate.
If you want to check actual miles per gallon, start with a full tank. Write the odometer reading down, and go. Everytime you put gas in, write down the amount. When you are close to 1,000 miles from the time you started, go fill the tank and include that amount of gas to your previous list. Now add up all the gas used and divide it into the miles to get miles per gallon. (976 miles/31.8 gallons = 30.69 mpg ) . Only one tank will skew your numbers, might be off cause the tank was filled more to the top than the previous fill-up. About a thousand miles of driving will give you a very accurate figure of miles per gallon for your car.

SOURCE: how to change spark plugs on 2003 camry

Find out what your spark plug gap is, and the size of plugs you require from your owners manuel. Purchase a Spark plug socket for your rachett (also a rachett extension if you dont have one) And a set of Gap Measurers. Pull out the spark plug leads from the base making sure you don't pull on the cable (can damage the lead if you yank on the cable instead of the boot) and then screw out the old sparkplug and check for damage/wear. Set the gap on your new sparkplugs and screw them back in using a torque wrench for the final turn or if you don't have one only hand (do the final turn without using the rattchet just grab the wratchet extension and twist with your hand).

SOURCE: camry smoke on startup

The key is the color and smell of the smoke.

IF coolant, the smoke is REALLY white and usually lots, and this smoke has a sweet smell. A pressure test may show some loss, and as well, often you get a little misfire that goes away.

If Oil, the color is white, but with a lot of blue, or darker...

Most of the time, after the converter warms up, it eats and converts both types of issues...

Steam, can be normal. Remember that for every gallon of fuel you burn, you actually generate 1 gallon of water. Typically evaporates or exits as steam, and is barely perceptable.

I am planning to buy used Toyota Camry 2003 with 131K mileage on it. Can you please tell me common problems which I should be looking in it before buying the same.

This particular vehicle is very dependable and reliable. You will get normal maintenence issues brakes/belts etc. However, in my experience, I cannot think of any major issues this model has been troubled with. It would be a good idea to have a pro dp a pre purchase inspection to determine if there are any signs of collission or abnormal engine noises etc. before you by.

Sync new immobiliser to 95 camry

For a 1995 Toyota Camry 4 cyl, 2.2 L, Automatic 4-spd, that runs on regular gasoline, the miles per gallon in the city is 19 MPG. On the highway, it's 26 MPG, and combined 21 MPG for both city and highway driving. The average cost of gasoline per year for this vehicle would be $2700.00.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2003 camry had desd battery, I charged it now the car has a low very rough idel and stalls.129000 miles

if nothing was wrong other than a low battery or dead battery you will need to drive the car to get the sensors to relearn. Your complaint is very common after a battery issue.

How many miles until routine parts need replacing.

The owners manual will have factory recommended service intervals based on mileage. I would sugest a new timing belt and waterpump, based on mileage. A local Toyota dealer call tell you what services are required at this mileage. Most other parts just work until they break. Do the maintenance it is much cheaper in the long run.

Location of the PVC and gas filter on 4 cylinder 2003 Solara

The PCV and the fuel filter replacements are not going to increase you fuel mileage. What you should really consider is getting some good fuel injection cleaner into the tank, and get an "induction system cleaning". Those two items alone will address most of your mileage issues. The PCV does nothing for mileage, nor does the fuel filter. Also, for maximum fuel mileage, you should have the correct sparkplugs from Toyota in your car. "Aftermarket" plugs doe not perform very well at all.
