Actually it is a 2006 tucson hyundai.
The dome lights do not come on when I open the door or when I get out of the car like they used to last week. I liked that the lights would come on when I pushed the key to unlock and I liked it when they would stay on for a few seconds after I got out at night. WHERE IS THE SWITCH??
Ironically I just took a 2,000 mile trip where the car went over 60,000 miles and off warranty. 100 miles past the odometer's reading, the little strap you hang onto when the driver goes too fast--pulled out of the ceiling of the car.
That takes some pretty careful engineering to produce such planned obsolecence.

It is not the bulbs. All of them quit working at once so it is some switch I do not know about in the car. I don't have the manual. How muich is your plan? Is it for just one car or is it like KlicknKlack Brothers? thanks
Same problem on 2005 Elantra.I'm thinking there's a capacitor that went bad somewhere in the lighting circuit that is charged when the door is opened or alarm is disarmed and slowly discharges giving the dimming effect.
have you checked the bulbs?
