Did you do the head yourself? are you certain of the cam timeing. what car / engine exactly as the toyota craseda has twin cam & the gears can go on 6 diffrent ways each varying the timeing by approx 4 - 5 degrees. These engines also have a fault of wearing the crank key way. Is it a 7M - GE engine? A bit more detail please :-)

SOURCE: 04 f150 jerking going uphill

Ignition timing would be #1 on the list. Also check your plug wires, or change them. Check your air filter, and change the fuel filter. It could also be your egr system, faulty ignition coil, or a vacuum leak at the intake manifold.

SOURCE: Loss of power uphills and shifting improperly.

It sounds very much like your clutch is slipping. If the engine revs continue to rise when in gear and the car does not increase it's speed accordingly then if it is a manual car then you need a new clutch.

adjust the timing,
\or your air filter is so bad the computer is leaning out the mixture so far, that you lost power.

P0304 misfire losing power especially going uphill.

Question edited. It is 'P-Zero', not 'P-Letter Oh'.

Help in the link. By substitution and swapping the parts you have, you can work out what part is faulty, or just take it to an auto-electrician.

Toyota tazz 1.3 losing power

The most likely problem is a clogged fuel filter. ... When the fuel filter is clogged, the fuel pump has to work much harder, resulting in a much less efficient unit. This means that you can not get the power you need if you are trying to accelerate when overtaking or going uphill.

Why does it occasionally lose power going uphill?

Sounds like it's starving. Change your filters lately. How about those O2 sensors especially the upper ones.

Is it true that a damaged knock sensor can slow down or make the car lose power while going uphill? Toyota Corolla VE 98

Yes it can. The knock sensor retards the timing due to irregular levels of octane in todays gasoline, to eliminate or reduce what is called a spark knock. A malfunction could cause your car to lose power when car is under a load or uphill due to pre detonation or constantly retarded spark to the engine. If not replaced it can cause engine damage or head gasket damage. Hope this helps.
