The battery keeps dying and the alarm keeps going off. Alarm switch inside car does nothing to stop it.

If the car sits for more than a day the battery is dead. Just replaced the battery so something else is draining it. Recently, the alarm went off in the middle of the night, and now it goes off every time I unlock and open my door. HELP! I have the switch that disconnects the power to the car, but that's just a pain to have to lose all my preset station on my stereo, I shouldn't have to do this. Please help!!

Does the battery hold charge? Have you load tested the new battery or left the new battery disconnected for a couple of days to see if it is holding charge.
It does not happen often but the new battery could still be the problem.
The other way to find out what is going on is to remove one or two car fuses inside the dash at the end of each day and if the car battery is not flat the following day you have narrowed down the fault.

My 1994 Suzuki has an alarm sensor attached to the firewall directly behind the battery, and I've had trouble similar to yours (except for the charge drain issue). Because the US replacement batteries I've had to install over the years were larger than the original Suzuki factory battery, they eventually broke that plastic sensor and that shorted out some of the wiring. I disconnected the sensor (follow the wiring leads--one grounds to the firewall) and that seems to have stopped the erratic alarms.

So you might check that sensor and make sure the case is intact and the wiring is grounded/connected.

I have a 2008 Impreza Outback Sport and the battery ran down (I'd been away and the car had been sitting for too long). When I tried jumping it from my friend's car, the alarm kept going off. The horn...

Okay, heres the problem the battery is low and the alarm is going crazy without enough voltage but something to try is to connect the jumper cables and have all doors shut. leave the cables on for a few minutes, if the alarm starts to go off as soon as you connect cables then dont wait, take the key and go to drivers door and lock and unlook the door lock with the key this will shut down alarm system and then try to start the car, it should start up and let run for a while, also the computer may have lost its idle memory so this means you will need to hold the gas pedal a little to keep it running, after a minute you can slowly release it and let it idle, you will know if this needs to be done when you start the car and it dies out, you will then strat it and hold gas, just a little bit enough to keep the engine running, hope this helps, have a good day.

Needs a jump every day

It sounds like the battery has a dead cell in it. Replace the battery. If you have an alarm installed remove the in line fuse from the alarm and see if that stops the battery drain.
