My ac goes off and on again and a clicking sound on passanger side

Sounds like the passenger side temp actuator is bad.

the actuator that sends the air up or down is unplugged or broken. it is located on the ductwork behind the dashboard in the very bowels of the whole system. perhaps you can see it if you remove the radio and the ac control panel

Sounds like you might have blown the BM unit. As far as the vent selection goes, I worked on a Buick LeSabre a few years ago with the same kind of trouble. There is a vacuum distribution block down under the glove compartment that directs the route air goes. It is notoriously trouble. In my case the block was poorly formed. Sometimes the vacuum connections on the block are plugged, sometimes they crack or break off. Unless you are a full blown Mr Fixit you just need to replace the block.

Is there a control for driver/passanger - heat/ac? or a switch

the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

This sounds like an actuator problem that is not working well and could probably be fixed by adding a "Check-Valve" in line on the vaccume from the control unit.

I seriously doubt it's the compressor.. The system has high amd lo pressure systems that protect the compressor.. That's one thing to consider and the second is the positioning of the shutter doors that controll where the air goes.. Could be a simple adjustment.#2 can cause a #1 issue.
