Everything runs thru the drivers side master switch, may be the switch but..
look inside the rubber boot between the door and the body(razor blade)The wires tend to break in there due to the drivers door being used more
than the rest.A wire connector or some fancy soldering work is the only fix without pulling the whole harness.

SOURCE: 1996 Oldsmobile Power Windows

If other windows work from the driver's window switches, it's the motor. With age (especially GM windows) the windows move slower and slower until they just quit. *Driver's window most commonly used so it stops b/4 other windows
If you're a do it youself'er the parts are inexpensive and you'll save a lot of money but it is time consuming. I do hope this solves your issue. All the best!

SOURCE: Power Windows

Improper installation could have caused the replacements to fail if the limit switches that prevent the motor from operating when totally closed or opened may not be adjusted right. Once the pane is run against the ends of its travel, the motor could draw a ton of power which would cause it to heat very quickly. Those motors are made as cheaply as possible and probably are not designed as larger ones that are now almost all thermally protected.

SOURCE: Replacing mirror on 1998 Oldsmobile Silhouette

you'll need to remove your door panel (screws are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door) and remove the cover adjacent to your mirror to remove the bolts to remove the mirror.

2002 silhouette rear vents stuck open

Common problem. You probably have a bad vent window motor. If both sides quit working at the same time, one of the motors could have failed and caused the fuse to blow so neither window will work. If so, you need to diagnose the problem and fix it before replacing the fuse will be effective.

How do I check passenger window swith

Window fuse's and relay's may be up under driver or passenger side dash or behind glove box, under the hood and even under the seats, and finally on the ends of the dash. All passenger power windows and locks are controlled thru and get power from the master control switch on the drivers door.

Drivers door window gets used the most so it could be the motor, window switch, relay or fuse.
Could also be a broken wire in the rubber boot going from the door to the body. You will have to eliminate each till you find the culprit. Check that all switches return to neutral when released.
The motor and the relay are the most likely to cause this problem. Try swapping the relay with a working window relay. If it still doesn't work, remove the door panel and remove the window motor.
Turn the motor shaft in both directions by hand several turns. Then plug the motor in and see if the switch will now run the motor. Sometimes that's all it takes to get it working again. I have had to do this with brand new motors. If voltage is not present at the motor connector, either a bad switch or a broken wire exists. Make sure to check for voltage coming to that windows switch. Actually, GM use's a circuit breaker type relay for each window and one fuse for all the circuit breakers.

Try this....
Open the door, turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine and everything that makes noise is off. Lean down placing your ears close to the bottom center of the door or at the speaker grill. Press the window switch UP and DOWN. Listen for the window motor. If heard the drive is damaged. If not heard, turn key off and locate and replace the relay with one of the other window relays. Check window again. If it works now, get a new relay. More often than not, removing the motor and turning it by hand will get it working good as new. I have had to do that with Brand New motors! So try it.
If all has failed, with the door panel still off, check for voltage at the motor connector when pushing the window switch. No voltage means its the switch, especially if its a auto down or up switch.

1999 oldsmobile silohuette window stopped rolling down on driver side and change motor still nothing. What could it be?

Your window switch would be the next thing to check and replace. Both the lock switch AND the up and down switch need to be checked.

Rear window wiper works for a few days or weeks

Check the plug is completely plugged into the motor. Maybe a bad connection in the motor itself. Also check the switch, try wiggling it when turning on.

bad connection right at the blower motor. put the blower motor on and wiggle the two wirer connector. this is the most likely cause and the fix is to bend the prongs to get a tight fit again in the connector.

Windo motors wont work

The driver side window switch is the master switch, the power or input to either roll the window up or down goes thru that switch. Double check all the connections on the back of the driver side window switch are good. With a DVOM you can also check to see if 12v are even getting to the master switch in the first place. If you aren't even getting power to the main power window switch you could've blown the power window fuse.
