2004 A8-L passenger side faux burlwood dash plate replacement

A crack has now lengthened from the Quattro symbol upward toward the top center and a section has lifted and sort-of curled up from the surface. I'm afraid I need to replace the entire piece for this to look like anything and am looking for a source for that replacement.

SOURCE: 2004 Audi A4 headlight replacement

you have to loosen the whole headlight assembly to open the covers behind the lights to actually get to the bulbs. 4 screws, 2 are on the top of the assembly(phillips screws) the other two are hex and attach the bottom of the assembly to the car. somewhat difficult to see but look behind the assembly and down into the compartment and loosen the screws(they don't fully come out) just enough to pull the assembly out. open the black cover behind he low bean and there is the bulb

Don't think so. Buy new part and latch mechanism should be apparent. I think they just "pop" into place.

How to change passenger compartment air filter

Open the hood, Locate the plastic panel at the base of the windscreen on the passenger side near the wiper arm. The panel is held in place with plastic tabs. Pull the center stems of the tabs upwards. You may need to use a needle nose pliers to GENTLY pull stem upwards( about 1/4"). Remove tabs. Remove panel. Once panel is removed the filter is visible and can be easily removed and new one installed. Reinstall panel ,reinstall tabs. push center stems towards panel to secure tabs.

How do I remove the fan switch to replace it on the dash under the radio?

Have your radio code before you pull it out with the right radio tool. This pull would involve removing this parts.
  1. Glove compartment
  2. Driver side panel
  3. Center top dash board
  4. Defrost switch carrier
  5. Radio unit
  6. Center lower half of dash
So I'd suggest go to your local public library and look for your car manual. It would be either Chiltons or Clymers manual, it's not as precise a Bentley VW Official factory repair manual. Yes it really involves taking all those parts out just to get to the rotary switch.
