I have a 2006 mitsubishi lancer. The a/c works intermittently. Works the least the hotter the day gets. The presures are 25 low side & 145 high side @ idle. What are the proper pressures ? I beleive this systems runs @ lower pressures than the older cars. The high pressure switch works & cycles the cooling fans. the compressor sometime cycles and not @ others. Does anyone know of any usual suspects??

Those pressures are OK and within specs. I would suspect the cooling issue lies with the air temperature control blend door actuator and or the blend door sticking in the ducting due to warpage.

SOURCE: air conditioning compressor will not kick in,

If it is above 100PSI, you are over charged. Any thing under, should be normal to low. You probably need to get it checked by a professional to make sure it has the correct charge, and the compressor is getting power when the switch is turned on.

SOURCE: I need windscreen wiper switch column mounted

I had the same problem in my Saab. Replace the column with the buttons and you should be good to go. Check with eBay and local junk yards for the part.

Where is low side of air conditoner

There are 2 lines coming from the firewall on any vehicle that has ac. One is the high presure the other is the low presure. Follow each line until you find fill valve.

This valve is used to fill the system. It will be covered by a plastic cap that screws on. Each side, the high and low has one of these valves. Often the cap is labeled with an "L" for low or "H" for high. Another way to tell is to flip the caps upside down. The low presure side will always be the smaller of the 2.

I need to replace the wiring to my headlights in my 1990 mitsubishi lancer se, however I am unsure which wires are the earth, high and low beams.

if you have H4 headlight bulbs ( with 3 pins) looking at them from the front of the vehicle the pin on the right hand side of the bulb is earth, the center one is low beam & the one on the left hand side of the bulb is high beam, if you are still unsure use a test light to check......hope this helps.......cheers.

2002 Lancer 2002 A/C won't kick in at hot weather temperature during the Summer in Texas. It works perfectly at cooler temperature such as morning or cloudy day. The A/C also work while engineer is hot...

Okay, here are a few possibilities. First, they do make a High performance freon and carry it at Autoparts stores. Second, moderation. All A/C systems have a low pressure cutoff switch and a high pressure cutoff switch. You want to stay below the high limit. Freon is a gas and will generate more pressure when the outside air is hotter. The switches run $20 to $40 each. It may be possible to change to different pressure numbers without blowing a hose. You old switches could be weak.

Windshield washer works intermittently, one day it works nexy day it doesnt, motor good, pumps good and getting power, dealer couldnt figure it out. Rear works usually Is it the washer pump not pumping or...

If the pump is working and hoses dont have any holes or kinks the only thing it could be is a clog.. Its a common problem and easily solved. Just take hose off water resevior and blow some air through it to blow out any clogs.
