What's the secreat for changing the air filter/cleaner on a 2002 Chrysler Sebring convertible V6?

the 1193 is: inlet air temp high, is the sensor pluged in ot not?? its on the filter hose that goes into the throtle body assembly. Maybe try to clean the sensor with gasoline or buy a cleaner fo it... it may help... if not visit service to be sure whats the problem and chande part...

The starter is located on the front of the engine, right above the front motor mount and between the catalytic converter and the engine block.

Unscrew the large air hose from the air filter housing at both ends using a screw driver. It is tight, and you may have to disconnect the electrical wires above it for room. Once the large hose is loose, pull it away from the housing, and pull the round tube style air filter straight out. Replace and make sure all connections are reconnected.

The following is the scheduled mainainence per Chrysler at 60,000 miles:

1. Change engine oil & filter
2. Air cleaner filters
3. Rotate tires
4. Check spare tire pressure & stowage
5. Change automatic transaxle fluid & filter
6. Engine coolant flush (every 60 months or 102,000 mile whichever comes first)

First off make sure this car was very well taken care of. Honestly I would not recommend getting this car. The transmission can have problems, the A/C pump will definitely fail in the near future, and the list can continue on. at 90k it will be due for spark plug changes, air filter change, and coolant change.

it only has 1,,,,, but,,,,, very unlikely needs to be replaced,,,, may just need oxygen sensor. there are so many mechanics out there that tell everyone to replace thier converters, and the reason is they sell the old ones for lots of money for scrap. no need to spenn so much money for what may be a simple fix.

I would take the air cleaner back out of the car, and see how the car runs with no air cleaner installed. Don't drive it this way, just perform a quick test. Also, while you are doing that, make sure that nothing was stuck or caught in the filter airbox, when you put things back to gether, such as a cruise control cable, or anything else that might have caused your problem.

you need to loosen the clamp on the throttle body and unplug the map sensor then there are two clips on the other end pull that out and you should be able to pull the filter out you don't need to take the box off.

when looking at the engine look on the right side by where the battery terminals are. there is a squre box with a plastic tube coming off of it. its a pain in the but to take off but the air filter is in that box. a new filter at orellys is about 11.00
