I have a 89 nissan sentra 1.6L 2 door. i had hit a dear doing about 45mph(i dont know how fast i was going because the speedo dont work eather). I had replace the the head and other parts. About 4 days later i there was smoke coming from the moter. I had found a hole in the ratiator. Put more water in it and drove it home. i fix the leak( so i thought) with JB stick. Went to drive it to portland and had come to stop were it died... pushed it off to the side of the road were it sat for about 30mins. it finally start start to drive it back were it start to make a loud lifter nock... pulled it off to the side of the road and went to turn it off and it would not shut off. the key was out and the lights were off. it finally died and has not start sence then... it will turn over but not start. what is the problem... Please help...
If you hit a deer , and the car ran hot, it could hvae damaged the engine . the rings and bearings. thats where the knocking is coming from. Check for compression using a compression testor. it is put inside the spark plug hole. While the engine is cranked. it should mark about 55 on the dial. Check all the cylinders one at a time replacing the plugs back as you go.
