The dash has to be removed to access the air filters. You are going to have to take to the dealer.

SOURCE: locate cabin air filter for

Hi. The 2006 Kia sorento is not equipped wiht a cabin air filter. Only the 07 and 08 sorentos are equipped wiht this filter. With that said; If your vehicel had a filter, it would be located just behind the glove box. If you were to access it for replacment, you would Open the glove box and remove the side stops so the glove box can swing fully down and hang on its hinges. Once that is done, you will be able to access to the cabin air filter and the clips which hold it in place.

SOURCE: how to replace cabin air

On the 05 Amanti, open the glove box, take everything out, then push the box past the stops. It will drop down more and expose a wire that has spring tension on it. With one hand pull the wire a little farther out and with the other hand feed the end of the wire out of the glove box. Slowly let the wire retract - don't let it snap back. You will now see the entry into the cabin air filter. Push down on the 2 tabs and remove the faceplate. Remove the filter. Put new filter back in and reverse the above directions

Where is the cabin air filter for a 2005 kia sorento

If it's not above the blower and behind the glovebox, then your year model is not equipped with the cabin filters.

2005 Kia Sorento cabin air filter

On the Sportage you remove the two support cables and then push the sides of the box in to get past the stops.
I would think the Sorento would be the same.

My 2005 Kia Sorento climate control (heating) appears to have lost a lot of its heating ability. I've checked the coolant and it may need topping up. Could this be the problem?

YES AND IF YOUR LOSING COOLANT YOU DO HAVE A LEAK. CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOUR BLEND DOOR IS CLOSING ALL THE WAY AND BOTH HEATER CORE WATER HOSES ARE AT THE SAME TEMP. HOT. IF ONE IS HOTTER THEN THE OTHER ONE YOU DONT HAVE FLOW THREW HEATER CORE. FLUSH IT IT SHOULD HELP.YOU DO HAVE A CABIN AIR FILTER ON THIS VEH TO.

Replace cabin air filter Kia Amanti 2005

You open the glove box, drop down the glove box door. There will be a slim panel behind the glove box that needs to be removed. Remove that panel and voila! That's where your cabin air filter is at. It's easy to do.
