Looking for stereo fuse

I am looking for the fuse for my stereo and lighter, and I am also wondering what ampage should I use, I recently put in a new stereo and amp and when I plugged in a heater into my lighter it instantly blew the fuse?

Look under the dash on the driver side there is an accesory fuse mine had a ten amp fuze so thats what i replaced it with. also remember your powering alot off of that fuze being you have an amp and stereo as well as a heater i would try a 20 amp fuze. also make sure your amp is fused at the hot wire with an inline fuze and make sure your using a capicitor on your amp i have a 1000 watt amp and two 10 inch subs and i use a one ferrat capacitor. it helps with the draw when powering on the amplifier.

After a phone charger disassembled in the lighter socket some parts of the lighter must have shorted in the socket. I checked the fuse under the dash but it doesn't look to be blown. The lighter,

The short out could have easily blown the stereo and clock display. You will have to replace all three to get them working. The radio could have an inline fuse on it which blew but you will have to pull it out to check.

Cigarette lighter not working

Check the ACC fuse under the Hood, there may also be a secondary fuse under the dash in the fuse panel (look at the diagram for that fuse).

it can also be one of the wires slipped out from behind the lighter, Remove the lighter to verify this.. the ACC fuse controls all accessories like the Stereo and such. so if the stereo is working and the fuse's are good changes are its a broken wire or one that became loose. PS check the wires with the IGNITION ON FOR POWER. if there is power replace the lighter unit.

I have a 1991 Mazda Navajo. Dome Lights and Stereo wont work.

You have to be very careful working with cigarette lighter assemblies. The inner parts of the assembly can rotate without you realizing it, and this can bring the positive and negative portions of the assembly together. This can create a short circuit. Normally, the fuse will blow.

I would take the assembly back out and make certain that there is separation between the positive and negative sections of the assembly.

Tapping into my cigar lighter wire to wire in my stereo?

Yes you can wire it to the cigar lighter. The only problem is you will have to manually shut the radio off. I would find a 12v source with power only in ignition on position . You can go to the ignition switch for that. Good luck.
