SOURCE: p1128 code on 2000 hyuandai accent

I did some research because the P1128 is an odd code for Hyundai and I couldnt find a lot of information on it, but I found two things that may help and neither point to the fuel pump.

1. P1128 in Hyundai refers to the Mass Airflow Sensor or MAF being defective.
2. There is a TSB from Hyundai, TSB 01-36-022, but I wasnt able to ascertain if that was a specific TSB for the MAF or if it was information on how to test the MAF or some other information.

P1124 seems to be a related code as well but I could find little on it. P1124 in a Subaru is an issue with the Throttle Position Sensor or TPS, but I could not confirm that for Hyundai.

My first suggestion would be to check your air filter and if it has not been changed in a while or is really dirty, then change it as a restriction in air flow might be mistaken by the computer as a problem with the MAF.

SOURCE: I changed spark plugs 04 Hyundai Santa fe

Check vacuum and/or electrical connections at the fuel pressure regulator, usually located on the fuel rail near the line from the gas tank. It sounds like your regulator is being held 'wide open' by too much vacuum or no signal from ECU.

Kohler 27 hp cranks but will not fire

posted wrong 2 ways, in cars and is not and is tool but not told
mower is my wild wild guess and none told, maker nor model.
well if engine is good, (compression at spec), 100psi?
then spark is bad, or only bad spark plugs.
kill switch wire enabled , ending spark. on purpose
the low oil level switch wire fell off or is out of oil
if all that is ok spark , sprayed test fuel works for 3 seconds
if not spark is bad.
spark works and test fuel works
we then fix the carb or bad fuel or clogged fuel filter.
some mowers (no told ) add safety devices that kill spark or cranking or both. to make it safe around kids, etc.

when i was 14yo I ran a lawn mower with the carb removed.
and used spray test fuel and even pure alcohol top brake to kid neighbors. course I had many Nitro fuel air plane models. that I flew.
and we some hand no real car carb at all , rans full RPM only
on the flying wing, .35 McCoy engines and U controls, love it.
the only rule is, keep face away from carb inlet. as back firesburn off eyebrows easy.
use long harm test and be safe.
googles too.
spray only for 1 second test and repeat 3 time max. for safety

fueling failures are many eve clogged tank vent and filter.
bad fuel
carb jets packed in crud/
carb small air ports clogged, called emulsion breather tubes if yes
engine wants to flood and spark tips are soaked in fuel
bad fuel
Spark plug tips the white ceramic there must not be blackened with carbon ever, new plugs work .

the best starting fluid is marked with lubricants. and is safe for the engine, or make your own with added 2 stroke oil.
despite worry warts
if used it starting fluid, 100s of times in 50+ years. zero problems.
but it do not ever use too much. per below.
it is a skill how much to use, answer spray1 second, crank a bit 3 times. max sprays, if fails engine spark is bad.

you can test spark easy use a new spark plug only
on the end of the spark wire, end. high voltage there.
and ground the base metal shell of spark to engine metal.
one guy uses car starting cables to do it using the huge clamp ends that fit a spark plug so nice.
that is about it
  1. compression good 100psi
  2. spark good
  3. fuel good not dead and not flooding .
and no bad fuel allowed, if it smells ling varnish it is bad.

What's the minimum compression for 2000 Honda TRX 300 atv ? Have 165 psi won't start . Has good spark and fuel.

That is not bad compression, you have something else wrong. IS the fuel good? What is the timing?

We have a 2004 3.5L that does not fire

Usually if it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the spark plugs, gasoline engine. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. How long since a tune-up? Are there any applicable trouble codes? Don't crank starter motor more than few seconds at a time, let it cool off a little. Make sure battery has a full charge.
Your make and model didn't post for some reason?

Spec vin ecu specs

If it turns, then the battery is OK. Either spark plugs are not firing in proper order (wrong firing order), no power to spark plugs, or no fuel because of fuel restrictions (dirty fuel filter). Inspect the air filter to ascertain its not clogged air. If you smell gas, then you saturated the spark plugs, which is why it refuses to run.
Let it sit for half hour to let spark plugs dry. Inspect to ascertain its not dirty spark plugs, which will also prevent engine from running. After ascertaining its proper firing order, spark plugs are clean, and there's power to distributor cap, ascertain there's fuel in fuel lines by squirting half second (short squirt) of starting fluid into air filter. Close the air filter housing to trap flammable starting fluid gas. Turn engine without giving throttle. Let starting fluid be ignited by spark plugs. If it won't start, then spark plugs are not firing to ignite starting fluid gas. If it starts briefly, but won't run when you give throttle, but catches when a 2nd person squirts more starting fluid into air filter just before engine stalls, then its a fuel restriction issue or no fuel in fuel lines.

2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara won't start engine

what engine, state engine size and country.
there can only be 3 ways, to fail.
bad engine (low compresssion, us the $20 tool at WOT and see over 170psi.
Bad spark
bad fueling.
just because spark coils (COPS?) work on other car , dont mean much.
what counts is your car , its a system.
the cops, have fast 5mS pulse when firing, you using a scope to see that?
Im so curious, why not to the time old test, use a real spark plug
attached to the COP end, spark plug shell grounded to engine metal
and crank, is spark good x4? or x6 if V6 (engine NOT STATED)
is it? then spark is good, leaving fueling.
do not touch the spark plug cranking, it can hit 100,000 volts.
I use a ground strap on the spark plug casing, hands free, or you can be hurt bad, by the spark or when you jump and cut arm backing off
on cars that flood, is it flooding?
I found my engine compression good, then found all 4 sparks fire good.
so i pull the fuel pump relay. killing fueling.
i then use "test fuel" to start engine (again, text book tests)
I use the new CRC brand of test fuel with top end oiling.
i spray it in the plenum, and it starts.
if the spark plugs are bad, (part oftune it up)
it may not start if flooded,
use WOT at the throttle (cuts fuel) and start any flooded engine.
if the spark tips are black and stink of raw fuel (wet with fuel)
that means flooding.
pull the fuel pump relay ,test fuel runs for 3 seconds. each time.
3 second spray max. each time.
if that works out, then find reason for flooding if flooding.
if not flooding, you find dry sparks.
then trouble shoot no fuel.
fuel pressure not near 30 PS?
fuel pressure too high say, 60, it will flood for ever.
there are only 3 tests.
and 4 counting wet /dry sparks.
the tests done, will put you on the correct path every time.
no guessing, no swapping parts to other cars.

Wont start.

If it will turn over check to see if its fuel or fire. To check for fuel, spray quick start for a few seconds into intake. If it starts and stops. its fuel. Change fuel filter and check fuel pump. If it does not start its fire, Could be distributor cap, rotor, coil, spark plug wires or spark plugs. If it does not turn over it could be battery or starter. Check battrey connections, ground strap from motor to body and ground wire from battery to motor and body.
