1989 isuzu 4wd 2.3 liter 2bbl

It has a screaming sound when I hit the gas, or change gears, sounds similar to a belt but acts like some type of pump with a clutch in it. every thing seems to work but the sound is so loud and happens so often it is bothersome. It only lasts a couple of seconds. it seems to be coming from the left lower side of the front of the motor as you look at it from the front of the truck, that would be the passenger side.

It probably is one of the belts. See if you can find the location more accuratly.

I change my fuel pump , filter on my 1994 Isuzu pickup truck ,4cylinder 2.3 liters and I have no gas a carburetor. I try using starting fuel to start it and its starts and dies . How can I fix it?

Take the gas line off at carb, and crank the engine over. If gas does not start spurting out from the gas line, then the new pump is not working right. Maybe the pump arm is not situated right against the eccentric gear that makes the pump work. You would need to re-situate the fuel pump.

Your fuel pump may be bad. But have you checked the cam positioning sensor or map sensor. But one more thing, I would check the timing belts, if anything is one tooth off it will cause lots of problems. If you need parts. Look up Tom's Truck Parts on the internet. I have rebuilt 2 1995 Isuzu Rodeos and they have everything you may need.

Does the '89 Isuzu Trooper II have a gas tank

Depending on how good the guage is, when the yellow light comes on telling you that your fuel is low, you have approx 2 gallon left in the tank. It is never good to run on a tank that low due to heat buildup of the pump which causes pump failure. The gas acts as a coolant for the pump.

Anonymous, I have this problem too where I can't change my vent location back to face. I've taken out the vent selection panel, and the vent switch know and controls seem to work (not broken). I have a 1989 2.3 liter 2 wheel drive isuzu pickup. Supply vacuum or actuator problem it sounds. Guessing I need to take to mechanic?

sounds like a sensor - when did it start - if just cranked up one day and bam it is there - sounds like either a brake wear indicator issue - if they are connected in those - or a fluid level change in the rear end or transfer case - look for leaks and check the brake pads or shoes

The alternator keeps the battery charged up. Most likely it's still good it just sounds like you need to replace the belt. Hope this helps.

1993 Isuzu Pickup 2WD
2.6 liter SOHC L4 .......same as above

1993 Isuzu Pickup 2WD
3.1 liter V-6

4wd is the same specs as the 2wd.
