When changing the oil pan on a 2006 town & country do you have tighten the bolts in a sequence?

When replacing the oil pan is there any special way the bolts go back in like in an order or can i just put them in however?

Any large cover or item that is attached to anything that heats/cools and moves (AKA an engine) should allways be put back on with a "star" pattern of tightening , as this will "walk" the cover back down evenly and not allow any bunching up , also some items have specific length bolts , these bolts should be noted in disassembly and returned to that location , water pumps are especially critical of this type of pattern as bolts on them even provide sealing sometimes
if a mfg has a specific pattern that item needs to be replaced with they will specify it with a note of somekind example given (refer to dwg 2-21 for torque sequence)

SOURCE: Replacing bulbs in tail lights in a Town and Country.

  1. Open your tailgate.
  2. Look for two (2) round flat black discs about the size of a dime (but thicker) on the inside of the body (between the red lens and the weather striping).
  3. Using a pair of pliers, pull out each of these two discs.
    • Note they are in tight and may require a fair bit of force to remove.
  4. Make sure the inner part of the disc also comes out. There are two parts to this system, a grommet and a plug:
    1. Push the plug backwards through the grommet.
      • The grommet fits into the actual hole in the body, and is spread by the plug, the pressure holding them in place.
    2. Carefully remove both grommet and plug.
      • The lens assembly will fall away from the vehicle when you pull out the second grommet so be careful.
  5. Note the wiring harness that connects to a plug inside. Beside that plug are two holders for the actual bulbs.
  6. Remove the holder by pressing the sides inwards and pulling. The light socket should come out.

SOURCE: 2006 Town & Country ABS light stays on

when the abs light comes on your car is letting you know that it has shut down the abs system because of a problem. so you are braking with regular conventional brakes which is perfectly safe. any time a component of the antilock brake system malfuntions the abs system is shut off and the light will come on to let you know. the most common problem is that the wheel speed sensors go bad. a trouble code will be stored in the abs control module you can have the abs module scanned to see what the problem may be. But dont worry you car is safe to drive. you just dont have the antilock brake option.

SOURCE: How do you change a passenger mirror on a 2006

If you're lucky, on the inside of the door, will be a triangular panel right behind the mirror that you can pop off. If you're not as lucky and it's one piece or the panel is blocked by the door panel, you'll need to remove the door panel to change it.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws (these screws may be covered by filler pieces or may be visible, or they may require you pry a plastic piece off that covers the screws) that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can remove the bolts holding the mirror onto the door

How do i change my oil pan on my 2000 ford crown victoria. There seems to be a welded in crossmember holding the engine underneath do i have to remove the motor mounts and raise the engine to do the oil...

Yes you will have to raise the engine, also, and remove some other items that can be damaged when lifting. An engine hoist will be needed for this job. This text was taken from a 2000 crown vic workshop manual.
see pic for torque sequence. i could not locate a torque spec, so you will have to hand feel them. if it is a rubberized gasket do not over tighten as it will crush the gasket.

Hope this helps!
