Hi my car suddenly died while driving on a curve. My gas light was on and so I got a gallon and put it in. Whats happening is the key turns and it sounds normal as a car should when trying to start except when i press the gas pedal i do not hear a difference or feel anything else happening as if I was not pressing on the gas. However still trying, after holding the key to start the car for a min it starts to slow down and flash the battery sign. So I got a friend and jumped the car. Nothing happened but the battery light was coming on less if not at all. This was in the morning. I had replaced my fuel filter recently but its been working fine for over a month now until this. I personally do not think this is related. When put the key into its position before starting I hear a humming sound in the front end of the car but i always heard that. I never heard any humming in the back or by the gas tank... I listened today after braking down.

check and see where he jacked the car up. he could have smashed the fuel lines

sounds like your breaks need to be bled.
if it still is kind of spoungy then the routers are bad.

check to make sure yu have 12v at the battery, once you do turn the ignition to start, if nothing, check the fuse and relays that control ignition, if all is good then the click sound is coming from the starter, have the solenoid replace.

try an old fashioned boost from another car using booster cables.or use a battery charger and allow it to charge for 30minutes. either way you choose,if you choose the boost off allow the booster car to run while cables are connected to your car battery, your battery may just be completely dead. after connecting the cables, positive to positive, and negative to negative, allow the booster car to run for 10minutes before you attempt to start your car.this will allow time for your car battery to slightly charge enough to start.if this does'nt work then check for a bad starter.hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com
