Listen if the compressor is running constantly. If it is the compressor seal has failed. This is an easy fix. You can buy a new seal from ebay and change the seal yourself. There is a seller on ebay from Holland that gives you full picture instructions. MickyDrew
yo, i finally figured out the speedo jumping problem. i took my towncar to a shop and they told me it needed a new instrument cluster, they replaced that and still the same problem. they narrowed it down to some bunk diodes or something in the alternator. replaced the alternator at Schumacher Goodyear and the price was 275. had all the speed sensors checked and they were fine as well. also this website is very helpful for do it urselfers.
