I have a 1999 buick LeSabre. I have a leak inside the car from around the windshield. A windshield repair person said that it was not the windshield leaking. He said that there was a drain that drains the area directly under the windshield wipers that is covered by the leaf screen and that I should be able to unplug it by pushing a wire up through it without taking the leaf cover off. I need to know if this is correct and if so where is the drain location and how to access it to unplug it.

You could also see if the bolts holding the wipers on came loose from the snow and ice. Pop the cover off, loosen and straighten the wipers where they should be and tighten.

I don't know if this works on a Buick but I have had two cars that the auto adjusters worked when you used the parking brake, I rarely use the parking brake so I got in the habit of working the parking brake 20 times or so at oil change time.

The arm is probubly loose on the motor...I had the same problem...open the vent area below the windshield under the hood ...remove the drivers side wiper arm and see if the motor is completely turning...if so check the connector arm is on and tight..the pivot ball may have worn oblong...or it just loosened up...pretty easy fix

Behind your ignition inside the steering column, there is a plastic piece that screws to the back that has to do with your accessories. its bad or your wiper control stick also located on the steering column is bad.
Push the mirror lens upward so it faces the roof of your Buick LeSabre.
Place the eight-pointed star head of the Torx driver into the setscrew located in the base of the rearview mirror. Turn the Torx driver counterclockwise. This releases the clamping pressure on the mirror.
Slide the mirror upwards to remove it from its metal bracket.
Place the base of the replacement mirror against the windshield, directly above the metal bracket. Slide the mirror down into the bracket. The bracket has a groove on each side into which the mirror will slide.Secure the mirror to the bracket by tightening the setscrew clockwise with the Torx driver.
