SOURCE: engine codes

These are Canadian DTCs diagnostic trouble codes. This codes mean a lack of connumication. This are different than American OBII codes.Hope this helps try gooling Canadian Troule Code and writing down the U codes. I hope this helps you. Please vote if you find this helpful.

The U1000 and U1001 mean that there is no communication between the engine control unit and another control units that are part of the CAN system (Controller Area Network) or that at some point there was no communication. Before do any repairs with the U1000 and U1001 codes, the factory recommend repairing any other problems in the car.

SOURCE: 2002 nissan xterra l/f seat belt locked up

Try spraying penetrating lubricant or graphite into it, wiggle and try. Spray inside and press the button and spray between the button and the housing. If this dosen't work you can try looking into the seat belt with a flash light and see if you can see anything moving compare with a belt that works properly. If not successful you will have to replace the seat belt assembly as they cannot be taken apart as they are a safety item and are replaced as an assembly.

What signs appear if my nissan almera timing chain need to be replace?

ONly sign I would use is if it gives a mileage in the maintenance portion of your owners manual. Most times it is timing belts that need replaced at 80K miles or whatever but that isn't necessarily the case with timing chains.

No other real sign on when to change them other than when the fail and when that happens you jump from replacing the belt/chain to replacing the engine.

Good luck

2011 subaru forester front passenger seat belt is locked too tightly and will not release, how do I fix?

The reason is the belt mechanism is damaged and the belt needs to be replaced. What happens is the gears lock this usually only happens when the vehicle is in a collision or has a major and hard stop

Infant car seat highlander2002

I am not familiar with the vehicle but car seats are not all made to fit any vehicle.
There are some that require just the lap belt most require an over the shoulder design. You will have to get the store to let you try a few in the vehicle until you find one that suits. I would expect a young child (baby) seat to require a 3 point over the shoulder style seat belt. especially if you are fitting the seat in the middle as this is the worst place in the event of a head on impact, unless you have full restraint. The other thing to remember is that children as they grow older may decide to take the shoulder straps off as you drive, making them more vulnerable. There are devices out there to help prevent this.
If your vehicle doesn't have a three point harness in the middle you should be able to get one fitted. Ask you Toyota dealer if there is an approved after market belt

The lap belt part of the seatbelts function just fine but the part that crosses my chest wont go back and I don't feel comfortable driving it with just the lap belt. How can I fix it?

The coil inside the mechanism must be broken you will have to get that replaced because driving around with only half a seat belt is dangerous. Be Safe than Sorry!

I need a picture on how the seat belts are configured in the back two bench seats. I removed the seats but forgot how the belts were configured.

the last one i done which was an astro van so i should imagine this one is similar, had two rear seats, the one directly the driver had the side door in so it was different in as much as it had two lap belts the back one only had one lap belt in the middle.the outer inertia belts are a three point fitting .If your still not sure then visit a scrapyard and have a look. This astro van was weird though because it had 9 places altogether but here in spain you can only carry 7 people without a public service driving licence
