Question about 2002 Daewoo Lanos
I bougtt a Daewoo Nexia from 1998. It has broken down twice in the same manner.
In the middle of nowhere it won't accelerate and ends up stopping completely. First time I got it going again (humping forward) and it got warmer and warmer and in the end caugth fire. I got an expensive repair, although the mechanic had big trouble finding out what was wrong and could not tell me exatcly what made it going again; they changed something in the electrical system connected with the starting system (I think). Half a year later a friend borrowed the car, and the same thing happened. He drove on in spite of my express warning against going on, if the car began to sound like it had **** in the carburator. This time real flames came out of the exhaust pipe. Is it imposiblel to get a manual for this car? I have tried the net without results. Nobody seems to be able to find out, what is wrong with my car - I have tried many mechanics, they charge me, but end up saying, that they can't fix it.

well i had problems with vacuum leaks to the booster and or any vacuum supply or even the intake gaskets if engine vacuum is not stable then you rob if from where you have it like the booster is like a storage for vacuum because it needs to be there for easy application of the brakes

check your cam position sensor (CPS) these can sometimes go bad.you should be able to find this sensor,on top of the engine, between the valve cover and timing cover with 3 or 4 wires coming from it.
however, the valve cover and timing cover might need to be removed, so some digging is involoved.good luck.
