Question about 2000 Land Rover Discovery
Front and rear ac/heater fans do not kick on,have changed diode in heater box,fan control unit and relays, have verifyed both fans work, and heater control unit powers up and display says its on but no fan is on. when i cut it on i loose the voltage at the F7 fuse.... and ideas/ direction?
There is a resistor pack that controls the fan speed switches. Not sure about the 2000 Disco but on Range rovers of that era it is under the cover below the decker panel.- namely at the rear of the bonnet. Check that it actually is there, then get back to me and I'll post details of how to replace it

My brother in law and I changed it without taking anything apart except the fan cover, what you'll need to do is gently use a crobar to release the tensioner pully directly below the alternator, and jam it a bit, then slowly release the old belt, if it's as worn as mine was you'll be fine. Then simply run the new belt starting from the bottom up. There's a great diagram on the weblink below.

there is a module mounted on the fan shroud that is a common problem. but as always, check fuses, connectors and grounds!
