Ok so i left water in my 2002 zts and i popped 2 freeze plugs on the head. then wentto put coolant into it an now i have water gushing out of the fan but is probabaly realy coming from the radiator and just flowing that direrection....what could be there to fix??? could the drain plug on the radiator freeze andcrack to??? any ideas will be appriciated
If the radiator has plastic end pieces, they probably cracked, too. Pull the fan off, and see if you can spot the leak. The fan will have to come off anyway, if you have to remove the radiator. If the radiator is leaking, compare the price of repairing it at a radiator shop, versus buying a new or used one.
Good luck.

The easiest way to remove it is to use a flat or small round drift pin punch. Just catch the edge of the freeze plug and tap it until it turns sideways. Then reach in with some pliers and grab it and remove it. If you can get a brass plug to replace it do so. The brass plugs last longer. The steel plugs rust out sooner. Good luck. They are usually in a hard place to reach. Improvise and use lots of patience. You will get it out.

make sure thermostant is good. most important is to make sure you didnt blow a gasket when it overheated, if you have a 3.8 engine those are famous for blowing headgasket. anyway have a block test done first, its a liquid they use to see if exhaust gases are entering the cooling system, good luck ,hope this helps.

If you can see where it goes, just use a socket that fits the plug and tap it in.
