97 tahoe mis

hello my wife has came home and said she smell gas so started the truck and the sending unlt rusted out and pumped gas on the driveway. so i replaced the tank and the sending unit and also changed out all the lines and filter up to fierwall all three lines are from a kit and fit well. i reused the year old bosch fuel pump .the truck seams like the fuel pump is bad again.
i have 55 to 60lbs and does not change much has i rev the engine. the truck starts right up and does not miss abeat and idales great.the fuel pressure does not fall when i shoult off the truck and held 50pis for about 30min and slowly fell so i dont thing there is any leaks at the spider . i through that the cats are plugged but they are only 1 yery old and has a magnaflow system. anyway i did a vacume test at the intake and started to rev the engine and pulled a hard increse . i owned this truck all of it's life and has only 76000 miles . i have no check eng lights and all 4 of 02 sensors are acdelco and were change when installed the exchust .still bogs at 2200-2300 rpm

I'm assuming you replaced the fuel filter when you did the pump.
You'll have to try to figure out if you are loosing fuel to the injectors or spark to the plugs to proceed.
Its possible something is failing inside the distributor among other things.
I'm also assuming you have checked the computer for trouble codes.

Looks like you covered just about everything outside the engine.
Since it has 225k on the engine, its possible the valves are carboned up or burned to where one of the intake valves fail to close some times.
You might try a compression test or use a vac gauge when it is running rough. If the problem was not happening before you changed the plugs, you could have bought some defective ones.

may be leak fuel injectors

If compression test is good is either no spark, bad coil or wire, or no fuel, bad fuel injector. Need to clarify which is not functioning properly.

The 96'-98' vortec 350 has 8 fuel injectors that are contained inside the intake manifold. the vortec uses whats called csfi which is called central sequential fuel injection it has 8 electronic fuel injectors and 8 mechanical ones these are the ones that deliver the fuel.

Crank sensor has to be bad,or the ignition module.Remove the ignition module and have it checked at the parts store.If it checks bad,replace it,if it checks good replace the cranksensor.The cam sensor,cranksesor,and the control module control injector pulse,and coil spark.I would point more to the ignition module.But I have known the crankshaft sensor to do this also.I hope this was helpful,if so,let us know,thanks,and good luck.

Possible bad fuel injector

faul managment control senser possable? or air intake senser?

BE WARNED!!! i was a GM mechanic for years, i personally found out for myself, that many if those pumps bought from parts stores auto zone, orielly's, napa, etc... have the possibility of being bad from the factory, i once worked on a 98 silverado, the customer had replaced the pump 3 times with an auto zone pump, every time the pump would either not even start the truck or it would loose pressure within a week or two. after we installed a new GM pump he no longer had an issue, sometimes its worth it to pay a little bit more and buy a pump from a dealer, plus if you buy a GM part, it comes with a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty, even if you buy it over the counter and install it yourself.
