2000 isuzu rodeo brake problems

I have a 2000 isuzu rodeo and when i step on brakes as it is slowing down before stop i here brakes squeeking and the brakes release and continue to move. i have to release brakes and apply again to be able to stop>

Your master cylinder is gone. when stopped apply pedal and hold let up slightly then reapply if pedal sinks to floor master is bad.
